I’m determined that in our area, no one will go cold this winter.
We need to ensure that everyone who is eligible for Pension Credit is signed up by December.
This will be a life changing amount of money for many pensioners locally.
I know that many of my constituents are concerned about changes to Winter Fuel Payments.
The Chancellor Rachel Reeves has announced that the Winter Fuel Payment will now be means-tested.
This means that in order to receive the Winter Fuel Payment of £200 or £300, you will need to be in receipt of another benefit, including Pension Credit.
I need you to reach out to your friends, family, and neighbours to check whether they are signed up for Pension Credit. Please share the campaign on Facebook and WhatsApp.

If you are already receiving Pension Credit or certain other types of benefits by the 16th of September, you should receive the Winter Fuel Payment. You can check whether you’ll receive the payment below.
