Campaigning for better paternity leave

Paternity leave provision in the UK is currently the worst in Europe. Labour are committing to parental leave from day 1, but what that means for dads is still not enough.

I’ve been supporting the Dad Shift campaign, run by dads, asking for a better deal for dads and for young families.

Until there are changes, we are not valuing dads, not valuing families, and continuing to allow maternity discrimination and unequal parenting. I will keep using my voice to make sure that having a family in the UK is a good experience, not exhausting and expensive.
